With this gun, I wanted to honor some of the early makers of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I am particularly attracted to sweeping curves of the Buck’s County guns. The rifles of Andrew Verner and John Shuler are among my favorites of the 18th Century. To me, this gun is very joyous, with its folk art carvings, heart motif, and graceful lines.

Stocked in Red maple, it shows a goodly curl from head to toe. The barrel is a Colerain, rifled in .58 caliber, octagon to round. I used a beefy L&R Classic, a very sturdy and reliable lock. This rifle has a single trigger, nicely tuned. The lock and tang are lightly engraved.
